Alpenlore USA is proud to announce that we are now running our business from the states.  For the past 4 years since Alpenlore was founded, we have been overseas in Japan running the entire operation.
We have worked hard to make things happen so we could relocate and put that Made in the USA stamp on our products.  Well that day is today.  We are now officially a U.S based business and very proud to announce this long awaited day.  We will now plaster made in the USA over everything we create (haha).
Furthermore, we are still planning to take our business mobile with the luxury of high speed internet so that we can easily receive and fill orders from just about any place in the country.  This is something we have only dreamed of in the past but has now become a possibility due to technology.  We are going to see if we can really do it.  Successfully run Alpenlore from a Camper pulled by an SUV.  
Some of us our leary and a bit intimidated by such a venture but we have weighed out the pros and cons and cant come up with many cons other than handing returns.   But you know what, we dont get many returns and if we do we will work it out.  Taking Alpenlore on the road is going to be a big challenge mentally but in reality it seems very doable.

We are currently in the process of going mobile with Alpenlore.
This is a new strategy to reach out to America by driving down the roads of anytown USA with our Logo and website on the side.  This is our basic idea but we still have a lot of planning to do like our route or we could just play it by ear which is the better option.
And yes, we will actually fabricate our belts while on the road.  Alpenlore belts use no type of stitching whatsoever so that they can easily be unraveled in order to be utilized in an emergency.  They are tension woven so this means machinery is not needed to create these works of art ;-).  
Therefore, there is that much more space and reduced weight as well to haul everything.
We will carry approx 6 months of supplies and pray to God that we don`t get robbed while parked while we are away from the camper.
So the other advantage is we have the opportunity to see the country!  Can`t beat that!
Heading out west and chasing the good weather is our goal or at least our hope.  We intend on visiting people along the way but with a mobile billboard we simply want to peak peoples interest.
So, thats the basics of one of our next steps in the quest to enjoy our business as much as possible and at the same time reaching out and spreading the news about Alpenlore survival belts.
We still have to purchase a nice rig that suits our needs so that will also be a fun part of the process that we haven`t begun.  We are leaning towards a 1/2 ton pickup with cargo/travel trailer.   There is so much to consider like weight, gas mileage, reliability, convenience and a whole lot of other factors that will make travel and work as streamlined as possible but we are enjoying discussions as to how to do all this.  I mean, hey, its not like were pros at this.  none of us have done long time travel of any kind.

How stretch material incorporated into belts helps to maintain comfort throughout the day.
Being comfortable is a big part of getting thru the day.  While cotton and other stretch materials as well as breathable fabrics and other functional materials help us to maintain comfortable body temperatures and prevent hugging and rubbing and provide us with less restriction, there is something to be said particularly about stretch fabric.  In the past several years, this technology has been used in belts and I for one bought my first stretch belt at an outdoors shop over 10 years ago.  Now its even more prevalent.  Some idea of using stretch materials in Alpenlore Belts has recently been considered as well as stretch rope.  Our current belts have zero flexibility, are quite rigid but for good reason.  Experimenting with some new material will reinvent our belts into a new realm of usefulness and add function where before was limited.   We are excited to create some prototypes over the course of this year and hopefully have several new belt options for those of you who are looking for something different and unique.

Today I would like to talk about Pet Products for Travel.  Well... a product that can be worn daily that can ALSO be used for travel.  I keep seeing these multi-function products popping up that offer several different functions.   When we look at dog collars for example there is a basic strap that wraps around the dogs neck to secure it from running off.  Could we use a tubular strap and have some useful materials tucked inside?  How about a locator or maybe a cooling device?  Well, Alpenlore USA is looking into these possibilities and this summer we will get out and ask people what they would like to see in dog products.   People want convenience and we would be happy to provide that for them.
Other Pet concepts like a cooling jacket to keep pets cooled down in hot temperatures.  The high season for taking pets on holiday and out for walks or camping is summer.  Dogs easily become overheated due to not sweating thru their pores.  Maintaining cool body temperatures is one key to good health and prevent damage to body organs or even death.  
With all of this said, the Pet product industry has a bright future and most importantly, the ability to develop technologies that will protect and extend the life our beloved pets.

As security tightens up worldwide the future of travel becomes inconvenient in many ways.  All plastic or nylon belts and other gear is becoming more and more popular. And this means convenience of travel is becoming more sought after and will continue most likely as time progresses year by year.
Travel Gear is changing.  This includes Travel Belts, cash belts, travel clothing, accessories and a plethora of other related products.  This is where we are focusing our energy at Alpenlore.
Designing products which are lightweight, move with your body, help you rest better during flights and feel comfortable.  Our Belt products serve that purpose in regards to "hands-free".  Not having to remember to carry a small survival Kit with you.  It`s always wrapped around you where it`s easily accessible.
On the other hand there are a lot of other products we would like to develop and which are a priority?  Deciding which product to design takes a lot of research.  Talking to random people after a flight is one of our target research techniques.  We ask "How could you flight been more comfortable?".   Comfort & Convenience while at the same time looking good!
Please help us by telling us how we can improve your comfort and convenience.  We would love to design it for you.  In fact we are excited to hear from you.  We are always impressed by the ideas people provide us by email.  They ask if we can custom make this or that and if we receive custom orders for particular items or styles, we pay attention to that and consider incorporating it into our designs.  In fact, the belts we offer now are a direct result of customer requests.  
Materials for our belts are of the highest quality and we often receive compliments about that.  Using high quality products, especially those made in the U.S.A. is another goal.  Currently our products come from Austria, Japan and the U.S. but in a few months we will replace our Japanese materials with American made materials.  We are very excited about that.
However, we do love the buckles we are using from Austrialpin.   They are a great company that build solid and good looking products and we have enjoyed how well this product has worked with our belts.
What we want to do next with our belts is to make a more Office friendly version that can compliment a nice pair of slacks and shirt as well as a nice Italian blazer.

Things are moving at a snails pace on kickstarter as we are also preparing to move our Headquarters across the Globe and back to our original home base of the United States.  We have been located in Tokyo Japan for about a decade and are proud to say that we are growing enough to bring new members to Alpenlore and will be developing and creating our products in the USA.
Today we found a way to make our NEW Spy Belt (Operative) better by incorporating some new techniques to make it lighter and easier to use.  The NEW Kickstarter projects will be launched in two phases.  The first belt we will launch will be the WAVE Travel Belt which is an everyday wear belt that includes an array of hidden pockets that you can pack with all kinds of essential items including cash, keys, sd cards, and other small and thin items that can tucked away.  You can add survival gear like paracord and ferro rods quite easily as well as fishing string and hooks.
Whatever you can imagine that is essential for YOU can be inserted into this Wonder Belt system.
Not only does it contain as assortment of of paracord that is woven around the belt acting as the casing of the belt but you can unravel it and use it in over 101 survival scenerios.  
Now let`s talk a little about our SPY Belt which we call the Operative.  The Operative is a design concept that sprung from the idea that people carry an assortment of survival good but don`t always want neccessarily want to show that they are carrying any such thing.  The fact that all survival gear is hidden within the belt, even the paracord rope is an engineering marvel that we are very proud of.  The Paracord is actually refolded and runs throughout the cord of the belt as well as the NASA Blanket which is also refolded making for a very thin set of gear measuring 4mm in thickness.   Then we had 1 survival kit on each side of that of equal thickness and this is how we have engineered this Belt to be as thin as humanly possible.  We are very excited about this accomplishment.  Everything is tucked away nice and streamlined.  The inner-core is packed with top emergency items and the outer kits are quick deploy for basic survival needs.  Together this makes a system that rivals any survival belt on the market.
Moving along to how its deployed.  You simply grab the outer sheath that covers the core of the belt and give it a firm yank . It will reveal the inner-core survival tools that can be removed and used immediately.  This is a very unique system that we will continue to improve and enable it to be deployed faster and faster by each evolution of the belt.
Where can we wear the Operative belt.  Well whether it`s the office, field, or having a beer downtown the belt blends in wherever you are waiting to assist you in an emergency or survival situation.  We look forward to evolving this into an even better version very soon.

Travel Products are becoming more and more popular with travel becoming more affordable with the surge in discount airlines.  This has allowed even more people to get out and Travel the world so products like cash belts, money bags and other related products are on the rise.
It`s important that when designing such types of products that we set ourselves apart by being unique.
Being unique is a challenge we face everyday as we stretch our imagination to develop and design new ideas that offer a variety of function while remaining slim and looking great.

Hey everyone!
We are fairly certain that Alpenlore USA will hit the road in 2017.
We are beginning to prepare the Alpenmobile which is a small camper that we will use as a traveling Vlog mobile.  Our vision is to move across the United States filming the beauty of America the way most of us see it in a very personalized way.  We also want to show our travel products and so this will be kind of a Tour sponsored by our company to spread the word about our innovative technology in Travel Products  that have that added multi-function that sets us apart from the rest.  
Alpenlore USA is going to be mobile this year and we are pretty excited about it ;-)

Our Kickstarter Project is underway.  We finally have the Title, haha!
Yeah, thats about it for now other than some descriptions we have written.
This will be an interesting Project and with all the technological breakthroughs appearing on kickstarter, we have got to focus on creating something that really offers convenience for consumers as well as looking good and have some multi function capability. 
Materials are sorted out and we would like to offer a 2nd version at a lower price if possible but for now we have The WAVE Travel BELT.  We are totally psyched to get all the images and info plus a video uploaded to kickstarter so we can share it with you.  High Quality travel belts are on their way!  Loaded with hidden pockets.
